Key Features

Composed of sodium polyacrylate, a highly hygroscopic white powder with hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups
Dissolves in water to form a viscous transparent liquid (0.5% solution viscosity ≈1000cps)
Viscosity is about 15-20 times higher than CMC and sodium alginate at same dosage
Stable viscosity with minimal effect from heat, neutral salts, organic acids, or long-term storage
Insoluble in ethanol and organic solvents, heat stable up to 300°C
Provides smooth silky feeling and moisturizing effect for hair and skin
Improves foam density and stability in shampoos and body washes without affecting washability
Known as transparent pseudo hyaluronic acid resin with stable storage performance
Offers thickening, stabilizing, emulsifying, and dispersing properties
Forms breathable film on skin to prevent water loss in creams and lotions
Works synergistically with other thickeners like carbo resins and cellulose derivatives
