Overview

BAREMUL SQO-31 is a novel emulsifier, a blend of polyether compounds, serving as a potent W/O emulsifier capable of emulsifying a wide range of oil esters to create high water phase (70-85% water) W/O creams with exceptional properties.

Features

Efficient W/O emulsifier typically used at around 4% to produce stable W/O creams with high water content
Suitable for emulsifying various oil types including animal, vegetable, mineral, and synthetic oils, as well as silicones
Resulting creams are lustrous, smooth, and non-tacky, with good stability at 45°C and -17°C
Straightforward formulation process allowing for both cold and hot emulsification
Oil phase can be thickened with additives, while the water phase benefits from stabilizers like magnesium sulfate and magnesium aluminum silicate

Cosmetic Applications

Ideal for massage creams, sunscreens, hair lotions, and foundations.

Usage

Add 4-5% of the emulsifier to the oil phase, then slowly incorporate the water phase under high-speed stirring
For cold emulsification, add preservatives to the water phase and fragrance to the oil phase
When heating, ensure the temperature drops to around 50°C before adding fragrance and preservatives
Ensure consistent homogenization speed and time for each batch to maintain product quality
