The Australian Tea Tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, is a species from the Myrtaceae family, characterized by its evergreen shrub-like growth, reaching up to 15 meters in height. Its twisted trunk, greyish-white bark, and lanceolate leaves make it easily distinguishable. Blooming between March and April, it produces cylindrical flower spikes. It is crucial not to confuse this tree with the Camellia thea plant used for tea consumption.
