Baremul®-18 is a new generation of high-performance W/O emulsifier launched by Barel. This compound is a polymer emulsifier with excellent stability, oxidation resistance, and compatibility with most cosmetic oils. Its polymeric structure at the oil-wet end of the long carbon chain reduces the influence of polar hydroxyl groups in hydroxyl stearic acid, allowing the oil-hydrophilic base to fully extend from the oil-water boundary to the oil phase. This ensures the stability of the W/O system is not affected by oil polarity, making it ideal for W/O creams and emulsions.

Usage and Dosage

Recommended dosage: 2-4%, added to the oil phase.
Preparation method: Slowly add the water phase to the oil phase while maintaining rapid stirring. After complete addition, homogenize the emulsion to achieve particle size ≤1μm. If the oil phase contains wax, homogenization should be performed below 30℃ to ensure proper wax recrystallization. Can be processed cold, cold-hot, or hot-hot.
